437 The Remix According To Twisted Science

Twisted Science aka Jon Tye didn't have a large output.  What was released is some very sublime and smooth glitch-based electronica.  I first heard the name on the "Kid606 and Friends" CD, then their remix for Bowery Electric, and finally the excellent "Roots" remix album from Thurston Moore.  Recently I had picked up the Hood remixes 12" for the Third Eye Foundation, and was pleasantly surprised with the Twisted Science remix on there.  The other two tracks on this mix are from MLO and Twisted Science certainly puts their spin on it and makes it anything but "mellow".

  1. Respect for this marathon month of top notch mixes, Mooz, including lots of artists that I haven't heard for a while or are unfamilar with.

I'm a big fan of Jon Tye's work: I dusted off MLO's classic Wimborne on my blog recently and his work with Pete Fowler as Seahawks is just incredible in it's quantity and quality. Good to hear his excursions as Twisted Science - a great choice!

    1. You had a great post and write up of MLO, thank you for sharing that and bringing it to my attention. Yeah, Twisted Science is about as far from MLO as you can get, very neat knowing the same artist is involved in both. And thanks for your kind words, hope you are enjoying this marathon...its almost over. I'm exhausted and running out of ideas for this theme.
