309b DJ Spooky mix 2

Second part, and what I'd consider more crowd pleasing tracks.  Maybe a little less abstract but still full of innovation.  I was so giddy with excitement when I heard DJ Spooky had a collaboration album with Twilight Circus (a personal top ten favorite).  Then even more excited for the sister EP with Alter Echo, just amazing stuff that bridges the gap of the dub with illbient masters.  I really don't recall why I only included one track from the remix album Dubtometry, probably because there was so much great music on all his other projects.  The Merzbow remix is pretty great, took the master of Japanoise and made it digestible for a larger audience.  As you can tell, I loved the Drums of Death album with Dave Lombardo - solid start to finish and so many incredible guest appearances on it.  One glaring omission in these mixes is the Creation Rebel and Trojan records albums, also worth checking out.

    1. You're welcome. Mediafire is finicky for sure, some work & some done. Archive is consistent, but slow. I'm open to suggestions on other hosting sites as long as they're free.

Also, glad you are enjoying the mixes. DJ Wally and Spooky are so entertaining. One more Spooky mix this weekend before moving along.

  3. Saw your recent comment on the upcoming Dubtember craziness. Thought I'd stop by your place & leave word in return. Saw this post & your mention of the omission of Creation Rebel.

Here's a link to a DJ Spooky post I did with said album included. Thanks, Mooz. Be scoping out the rest of your posts in detail as I can.

    1. Thank you very much! Your blog is consistently amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've looked for something obscure only to find an in depth write up from you. Hope you enjoy my mixes as well, I think we've got pretty similar tastes.
