389 Another Sabbath Tribute

A second selection diving into the wonderful world of Black Sabbath covers.   My first mix last November was well received and one of the most popular posts yet on my blog.  This round it starts with the heavy stuff, moves on to the weird stuff, and ends with some jazz. Thanks to George Glass for drawing my attention to Santa Sabbath, and bandcamp Friday for introducing me to Hellsongs.

  1. Santa Sabbath! I'm a big fan of covers, whether they stay true to the track, or make it their own. It's good that Mercury Rev stayed true for Planet Caravan. It's one of my all-time fav Sabbath tracks. Also, interesting take on Laguna Sunrise. I like it! Good selections.

    1. Same. I love a good cover song. Glad you found a few you liked. Yeah, ending with that Tony Reed version is a bit unique but it works. Thanks for the comments, and recommending Santa Sabbath.
