Episode 22 - Legendary Pink Dots (pt1)

Part 1 of many – My favorite band, and the one I’ve seen live the most times.  This is a collection of songs I keep coming back to, reminding myself of just how wonderful they are.  I've focused on my favorite era of theirs, what I call the Ryan Moore years.  With a history over 40 years with astonishing productivity the whole time, it helps to break it down by era.  This period was their largest lineup including Niels van Hoorn and Martijn De Kleer, occasionally Cevin Key (Skinny Puppy) on drums.  A little after this time period, I participated in the Cloud Zero mail list fan tribute album, and then produced the second edition of that.

  1. Big Lpd fan here! I don't download as I have all this (or most or, didn't check). I could guess from your Ryan Moore expertise... I've seen them quite a few times as well... and I wrote to them asking for service (as a teenager). Edward answered very lonely, getting me in nurse with sound and Faust, among others... (Just browsing around your mixes while thé subway is stuck)...

    1. That's a great story. Edward seems like a genuinely kind and caring individual. I've had nothing but positive correspondence with him over the years. It is great hearing other's stories as well.
